The Art of Balancing Energy
Perhaps you have heard the statement that you need to live a balanced life. You might have to wonder: How do I achieve that balance? The first step would be to learn how to Feng Shui.
Feng Shui is the art of creating balance in your environment. This process has been practiced in China for thousands of years. You find balance by giving good energy a proper space in your life. Energy or Chi needs to flow. There is an art to developing the flow of energy. It is called Feng Shui. It is done by moving and aligning items in your surroundings to create harmony and positive chi flow.
Balancing the Elements
Using the concept of heaven and earth, Feng Shui takes what ís known as wind water and by using the life force (or qi), creates positive environments for homes or offices. The Chi actually has six parts to it, all based on weather terminology and they are light versus darkness, warm versus coldness, and rain versus wind.
The popular belief is that Chi creates a positive environment. Many buildings and homes in China are built with Feng Shui as a focus. The result is happy and successful places to live work in.
Feng Shui works. We should strive to understand how “structures” impact nature and what we should do to keep a harmonious relationship with it. Understanding and using Feng Shui can help to create harmony in all areas of our lives: relationships, work, and even health.
Good and Bad Chi
Some places are perfectly balanced and at one with nature. This occurs when good energy is pulled into the living space. Spaces that are at discord with nature promote bad luck. The Feng part of Feng Shui (known as the wind) can rid an environment of the positive energy, which you don’t want to happen. Holding on to the Shui (the water part) creates balance.
Create a Good Chi Environment
Our environments can work for or against us. You might have heard the phrase “product of their environment” whenever someone’s life is in turmoil. But good, positive energy or Chi can be created by turning a bad environment into a harmonious one. By using existing energy constructively, you can create an environment to cause the energy to work for you.
Three General Chi Types
There are broadly speaking three general types of Chi. Heaven chi, earth chi, and man chi. You might have experienced some understanding of Chi and not realized it. For example when you read your horoscope. Astrological energy falls under the category of heavenly Chi. An example of earth Chi would be a river or a mountain. That is nature, Chi. Good Chi can also be created by humans. It can be used in homes and offices and can build a good Chi environment. The goal of Feng Shui is to discover how to utilize Chi to benefit you and your environment.
